"the jouse?" what the hell is that?
the jouse is simultaneously a self-contained story and a satirical build i make in most minecraft worlds i play on. for the most part, the current iteration has nailed down what i've always want to do with it since the first "test" i made in a singleplayer 1.2.5 world.

the current jouse, affectionately referred to by members as "the jouse 3."photo taken on my private minecraft server using the exposure mod.

note to self: rewrite this if need be (it is copy/pasted from a jouse showcase video) i think it's okay but whatever for background on those not in the know of The Jouse's lore, this is a continuation (the third one) of a previously-made house on a server that was taken down and the world not backed up. some variants return with tweaks to design. this version of The Jouse is hosted on my own server, so thankfully there is no risk of losing it. the story being told through the keys in fake is of The Jouse as an organism being forced to live a tragic universal constant. to survive, it must expand and grow to fit the owner and guest's subconscious desires of exploration and in doing so it continuously strains itself. The Jouse as a build is just a bit that stuck after making the first one because people liked it so much. the main inspirations are petscop, myhouse.wad, and b3313. anything in that vein of unsettling exploration and getting lost in unfamiliar areas is comforting to me and i wanted to reflect a part of that in my builds. one of the things i especially wanted to do more of from the first version of The Jouse was to open up more community contribuions. this was a constant through all builds, but it was an integral part of the first (though to a lesser degree than it is in the third) and something i kinda tacked on as a last-minute addition to the second. "You have seen everything in the game, so far, but there will obviously be more. It’s a growing organism. Your controller inputs will be useful, but your feedback will be even more useful. Please leave the Playstation on when you leave. You can stand up now." -Rainer, Petscop 13
